Academic Profile

Dr Kirathamoorthy P.P is the Chairman of the Padartavignanam Syllabus Reform Committee of the National Council of Indian Systems of Medicine, New Delhi. Currently serving as the Principal of Vishnu Ayurveda College, Shornur, he also holds the position of Professor and HOD in the Department of Panchakarma. Previously, he served as Professor and HOD of Samhitha and Sidhantha at VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal.

He secured his Under Graduation from Ayurveda College, Coimbatore, and his Post Graduation in Kayachikitsa from the Government College of Indian Medicine, Mysore. With a distinguished teaching career spanning over 37 years since 1986, he continues to guide PG scholars at VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal.

Dr Kirathamoorthy is a prolific academician, serving as the Chief Editor of the quarterly journal Sadvaidya and as a co-editor for the literature 'Concept of Mind'. His leadership extends to various academic bodies, including the Board of Studies at the University of Calicut, KUHS, and Kannur University. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Examinations on numerous occasions.
